说老实话，我不太确信把下文贴在这里是不是合适。文章是我上学期民俗学课交的期末作业，侧重的不是民俗研究，而是民间故事在儿童文学出版中的应用问题。我希望文章的功能之一是给中国的儿童文学作家和出版商提供一点启示，建议一面继承和发扬中国民间故事传统资源，一面为中国儿童提供更有趣味、新意、和审美价值的读物。

英美儿童文学市场上的民间故事及其改编——个案研究

摘要：本文从民俗学和儿童文学研究的角度，以1980至2004年间英美儿童文学市场上的“灰姑娘”图画故事书为个案，调查英美儿童文学作家对传统民间故事的改编出版情况。首先调查新编故事其来源的多样性，然后集中研究从佩罗版的《灰姑娘》改编而成的图画书，从中总结英美儿童图画书作家对传统民间故事创造性的改编方法。分析书中反映的性别角色和男女平等关系问题。把中美两国儿童文学界改编民间故事的广泛程度相比较，肯定利用民间故事资源生产儿童文学作品这一做法的价值。顺便介绍美国儿童图画书的形式特色和中国民间故事在美国被改编的情况。

Folktale and retelling: a case study with Cinderella stories in picture books, 1980-2004

Abstract
This paper surveys the retelling of Cinderella stories in picture books for children from 1980 through 2004. It first investigates the diversity of sources that stories have been retold from, then focuses on Cinderella stories based on Perrault\'s version and summarizes the many creative methods used with the retelling of traditional folktales. It discusses the gender role and relationship issues in these books. It contrasts the retelling of folktales in American children’s books with the practice in China, and acknowledges the value of producing children’s literature from folktale resource.
